Working mum finding desk sitting difficult.

Context
A young working mum of two came to see me in persistent pain. Walking was difficult, sleep was disrupted, and sitting at her desk had become a challenge. Like many people, she’d been pushing through and assuming this was something she had to live with.

What was happening
The pain was affecting more than her body. It was wearing her down physically and emotionally, making it harder to feel present in daily life. By the time she arrived, she described “hobbling in”, unsure how much relief was possible.

The approach
Time was taken to understand what her body was responding to — looking at movement and seated posture habits. Treatment focused on easing strain, restoring movement and helping her body settle.

The outcome
She walked out of her first appointment feeling noticeably better. Walking and sitting felt easier, and her body no longer felt like something she had to fight against.

In her words
“I hobbled in and walked out feeling great. I would 100% recommend to anyone struggling.”

Why this matters
When pain isn’t rushed or normalised, and the body is properly listened to, change doesn’t need to be dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes, it starts with simply walking out feeling better than you walked in.
